Attention Mouse Lovers!!

Disney enthusiasts, mark your calendars! MouseFest 2007 comes to the sunny Orlando December 6-10. Disney fanatics from around the world will be in attendance for your interacting pleasure at this annual gathering.

Organizers have planned MouseFest "meet ups" at random places throughout the park for every day. These "meet ups" are open to the public. In addition, special tours, scavenger hunts, special buttons, event guides, and more are available to MouseFest registrants. A separate registration is required, in addition to your regular park admission, in order to participate in these separate events.

Even though it is the beginning of winter, the weather will be great for some frolicking in the wonderful world of Walt Disney. The parks are not as full as they are in the summer either, so it's the perfect time to head out to the parks and share your love of the magic with other Disney fans. Even if you don't plan on registering for MouseFest 2007, you will reap the benefits of a park full of Disney enthusiasts. Gear up for the event with discount tickets from DWTickets.com!

I LOVE Animal Kingdom!!

Last weekend I visited Disney's Animal Kingdom to get my second taste of Expedition Everest and it was a blast. The ride is a great addition to the park! The mythical addition to a park dedicated to factual animals is very creative. Some wonder if there might be more to come. Who knows, but I wouldn't object.

The ride actually takes you into the mountain on a hunt for a Yeti. I won't spill the beans if you find him or not, but I can say that the roller coaster has some really fun surprises and it's a cool break from the parks Florida heat. There is also a new restaurant opening up near the ride called Yak & Yeti. The restaurant will be themed to match the rural village of Anandapur in the Himalayas. This Pan-Asian restaurant is sure to serve up some delicious food whether you are eating in or getting a meal to go.

Animal Kingdom is a great park to visit. If you haven't already rode Expedition Everest, I'm telling you: you are missing out! Buy your discount Disney tickets from DW Tickets now and find out what everyone has been talking about.

September 28th marks the kick off of the 12th annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Dolphins, Penguins, and Whales, Oh My!!

If you thought Sea World was a cool park to visit in the day time, you are going to LOVE what's happening this summer! From now through September 3, enjoy perusing through Sea World until 10pm.

The new late hours include four nighttime shows: Blue Horizons at night, Sea Lions Tonight, Mistify, and Shamu Rocks. Shamu Rocks is a brand new show that combines the movements of killer whales with modern rock music by artists like Jennifer Lopez, Savage Garden, Lifehouse, and Shakira.

If you are going to be staying late in the park you might as well take care of your stomach before the night begins by attending the Sea World Makahiki Polynesian Luau. The food is delicious, the hula dancing is amazing, and the music will have you grooving. Best of all, the entire Luau is as authentic as can be. You will feel as if you are actually in Hawaii in this all-inclusive dinner show.

Buy your discount Sea World Tickets now at DW Tickets for a full day (and night) of whale-sized fun!

Cinderella's Castle

Cinderella's 189 feet high castle has been a Disney World icon since its completion in 1971. Still, many guests are unaware of just how magical it really is?!? On the inside walls of the castle, Cinderella's story is told on five large mosaic murals. The mosaics are made up of 500 colors and a million pieces of glass. The picture book walls of the castle are a regal setting for the events that take place inside every day. In the mornings, Disney characters gather upstairs for a breakfast feast. Kids who dine with the characters are referred to by the royal names of "prince" and "princess". At night, Cinderella plays the humble host at dinner and greets guests waiting to be seated.

Cinderella's castle is also a magical way to end your day at the park. Gaze your eyes as Tinkerbelle descends from the top of the castle, which starts off the nightly fireworks display! Cinderella's Castle is a must see and make sure to plan a visit to her majesty's royal castle. Click here to purchase your tickets now!

Heat Quenching Water Rides at Disney

Orlando hit 90 degrees today and most people are hiding indoors keeping nice and cool. Don't let the hot weather stop you from having fun because it's the ideal time to check out the unique water parks at Disney!! Take a break from the heat in big waves at the 300 galloon wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon. Or, cool off on the water-ski slopes of Blizzard Beach.

If you're a daredevil, Blizzard Beach might be the park for you. You can't go wrong in a park that has some of the steepest, fastest water slides in America. You'll be begging for more-- as soon as you catch your breath.

Typhoon Lagoon has lots of rides that you won't find anywhere else in the world. My favorite is Shark Reef. Guests snorkel over coral reefs, sting rays, sharks and tropical fish on this one of a kind ride.

Buy your discount Disney Water Park tickets at DW Tickets now, and escape to a water wonderland!

STAR TOURS 2 ?? MGM Studios Ride Gets Makeover

If you've ever been to Disney's MGM Studios, one of their signature rides is Star Tours, located in the MGM Studios backlot. Star Tours is a Star Wars adventure simulated thrill ride (much like Islands of Adventure's Spiderman) and takes you on an intergalactic ride through outer space. Created almost 20 years ago, there have been rumors about an update with 3-D and digitized picture quality. The update of Star Tours has come up in discussion through the past year, and during Star Wars Weekends at MGM. The new ride should be completed sometime next year, around Thanksgiving 2008. Disney MGM Studios tickets can be purchased at a heavy discount by CLICKING HERE!

Star Wars Weekends continues throughout June, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at MGM Studios Theme Park. MGM Studios is one of the hottest places to visit at the Walt Disney World Resort, and the Tower of Terror and Rock N Rollercoaster are the most popular rides along with Star Tours. Summer if officially two weeks away, and now is the perfect time to bring your family down to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Have a great weekend, and come to the DW Blog for more updates about new rides and attractions in Orlando.

Spaceship Earth Looks to the Future!

Walt Disney World is giving one of its oldest rides a face lift soon. Ever since 1982, Epcot's Spaceship Earth, has been a slow-moving ride that showcases the inventions of the past and present. However, by 2008 it will also encompass the future. The ride's new "time machines" will soon include touch screens that allow riders to design and view their own visions of the future.

The change came about after Spaceship Earth's sponsor changed from AT&T to Siemens. The new sponsor wanted to showcase some of its own technology, thus was born "Project Tommorow: Inventing the World of Tomorrow."As guests are getting off the ride they will be able to play with more new additions. The exhibit will include a 3-D body game, a driving video simulation game, and a illuminated globe.

The renovations will be fully completed by 2008, but many additions have already been made. Check it out for yourself and purchase your discount Disney tickets today!

Tomorrowland Transit Authority at Magic Kingdom

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority (formally WedWay People Mover) is one of the coolest attractions at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park. Once you hop on, you will be taken through tunnels of Tomorrowland and be able to see the inner workings of such rides as Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Adventure, and ride over the Disney Raceway. During this ride, you will be able to see Walt Disney's vision of a futuristic community and see how he envisioned people living in the 21st Century. This ride can be found in Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, and is something you should not miss. The Magic Kingdom has over 16 million visitors in 2006 and is on pace to break that record this year. Come down to Florida and say hello to Mickey Mouse and the gang at Walt Disney World!

Great Weekend for DisneyQuest !

TGIF Disney fans, this is the DW Blog Man with a weather report. This weekend is supposed to be wet and windy in Orlando, so rather than get wet waiting in theme park lines, head over to DisneyQuest, Downtown Disney's interactive indoor theme park. With over 250 games, attractions and high-tech, interactive exhibits, DisneyQuest is a fantasy-land for both children AND adults! DisneyQuest has everything from a virtual reality, "build your own rollercoaster & ride it" attraction, to a very cool Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Remember, if the weather isn't looking good, go to DisneyQuest and explore this 5-story indoor theme park. Have a great weekend, stay dry, and see you on Monday.
