Disney Beach Club

When people go on vacation, they naturally try to squeeze in all the fun they can. In Florida, the main attractions are the many theme parks and beautiful beaches. Is there somewhere you can stay that combines the magical world of Disney and that great sand and sun the state is famous for? There sure is and it's the Disney Beach Club resort.
Set to the architectural theme of 19th century New England, the beach club resort offers several opportunities for fun and relaxation.

For starters, there's the massive Stormalong Bay. It's the largest pool offered by the Disney resorts. With sand bottom pools, a lazy river and its very own waterslide The Flying Jib, it's hard to know where to start. Don't feel like leaving when you start getting hungry and thirsty from all that fun? You can order something from the convenient poolside counter service restaurant and bar. For the little ones there's a playground right next to Stormalong bay and for the littlest ones, a kiddie pool. There's something for everyone looking to have fun in the sun.

If you'd rather go for a more relaxed approach, The Beach Club has you covered. With two quiet pools and its very own white sand beach, there are plenty of places just to lay out and work on that tan. You can also catch a casual game of volleyball or tennis in their respective courts, work out in the Ship Shape Health Club, or rent a water craft and enjoy a nice cruise around the lake. You can even set up a fishing trip, catch and release only, right at the resort.

The Beach Club also offers several dining opportunities. From the diner style Beach's & Cream Soda shop, complete with Jukebox (which sits next to the Lafferty Arcade!) to the Cape May Cafe, which offers breakfast with some of your favorite Disney characters. Reservations are strongly recommended for breakfast with the characters. For kids 4-12, The Beach Club has a special treat for them, and their parents! The Sandcastle Club provides supervised childcare with games, Disney movies, snacks and other fun activities.

On top of everything mentioned above The Beach Club is located within walking distance, a mere half mile, of Disney's Boardwalk (which offers midway games, a variety of shops and restaurants and a fantastic view of those famous Disney fireworks) and one of the cornerstone theme parks of Orlando, Epcot. It also provides complimentary transportation to all of Disney's Theme Parks. It's the perfect combination of Florida's main attractions.

If you choose to at The Beach Club, make sure you get your Disney tickets first at DW Tickets! The best prices for all Orlando Attractions!!!

Fireworks at Disney!!

Every Summer, there's one thing kids look forward to: The Fourth of July and the Fireworks displays the holiday brings. The flashy colors and loud explosions are something most kids just can't get enough of. You don't have to wait for the 4th to see some great Fireworks, though. Just check out any of the displays at Disney!

Most nights, the Magic Kingdom at Disney World presents the "Wishes" Fireworks show. This 12-minute display pays tribute to the spirit of Disney: making dreams come true. Besides a wonderful firework display, kicked off by Tinkerbell, guests get to experience the message through audio, too. Sing along to your favorite Disney tracks and watch your kids faces light up as they hear their favorite characters speak as well. The shows creators also carefully planned each firework and sound effect to match up perfectly. You are not going to want to miss this one! Make sure you show up early so you'll get the perfect spot.

Any Disney fan knows the classic movie Fantasia, where Mickey plays magician and commands mops to dance. Experience this magic first hand when you check out "Fantasmic!" Based on the move, this show features Mickey battling Disney villains and stunning effects that are not limited to Fireworks. The show also features lasers, animation and more! For those who are sight or hearing impaired, "Fantasmic!" offers Captioning and special listening receivers to help you keep up with the show. It is also wheelchair and scooter friendly.

That's not all. On special nights, you and your kids can see all kinds of special firework effects at the "SpectroMagic" parade. Your favorite characters, Mickey included, come together to march in this awesome parade that is sure to entertain kids and adults alike. With over 100 miles of fiber optics cables and 250,000 lights, this is a show like no other. Check with Guest relations if you are in need of special access to the route, as most shows offer areas for those with disabilities.

Finally, we have IllumiNations. As you might have guessed from the name, this show pays tribute to the world we live in by having an earth globe show the wonders of the world as fireworks go off around it. You'll also be treated to original music designed for the show to add to the magical experience. Lasers are also a part of the show. What better way to introduce a child to the vast world that surrounds them? IllumiNations is designed, as are the other shows, to allow those who are confined to wheelchairs or scooters to have access as well.

If you're looking for some great fireworks displays that are truly unique, there's no need to wait for the 4th of July! Just take a trip to Disney World and see some of the best there is any time of the year. For the best deals, check out DW Tickets for the best discounted Disney tickets around! You won't be sorry!!!

Tower of Terror at MGM Studios!!

Everyone loves a good scare sometimes. When you want some thrills and chills, The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror at MGM Studios is the place to go! This terrifying trip starts in a dusty hotel lobby that sets a perfect atmosphere for what's yet to come. Following a special film hosted by Rod Serling, the man behind The Twilight Zone, you are suddenly plunged into darkness and then led to an elevator that guides you through one of the creepiest hotels you've ever seen! They're not done with you yet, though. Not even close. As you ride through the hotel, you're treated to ghostly images of those who came before you.

Scared yet? If not, watch out... you will be when you're suddenly falling at a speed you can only imagine, as the elevator falls. They keep the scares coming with a random series climbs and falls that will keep you on your toes. Finally, you are set free in a dark hallway to meet up with those who were either not able to get on the ride or not brave enough to try it. What more can you want from a ride?

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was carefully crafted by Disney Imagineers for maximum effect. They spent countless hours watching every episode of the classic Rod Serling series in an attempt to make this ride as terrifying as possible. Actual props from the original series are featured as well, allowing you the chance to see a piece of television history up close. They didn't stop there. They went through more then 30 versions of this ride before they settled on the one you can visit now. How's that for attention to detail?

The Tower isn't for everyone, though. The ghosts and fast drops may be way too much for young children, even if they meet the height requirements, so use your best judgement when deciding whether to let your child on this ride. If you suffer from certain medical conditions such as heart, neck and back problems, motion sickness or are pregnant, this is not a ride for you. Stay behind with the kids in the kid swap zone so the rest of your group can take turns going through the attraction. For those who can't hear, the Tower of Terror offers video captioning. They also have wheelchairs for those who have mobility issues.

Just because you can't actually go on the ride, doesn't mean you can't experience at least some of it. All guests are able to get through the pre-show, which includes the Rod Serling film, before going to a holding area to wait for the rest of their group. The Tower of Terror also offers a special exit just before you get to the elevator in case you decide this ride is too much either for you or your child. Just talk to one of the cast members and they'll help you out.

For a thrill ride you'll never forget, check out the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. To get the best discounted disney tickets around, visit DWTickets!

Extra Magic Hours!!!

There are many reasons to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Not only are you in the middle of the action for your whole vacation, you also have free transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport and to all of the Walt Disney World parks and attractions, among many other perks as well. But perhaps the biggest advantage to staying in a Disney resort is access to the Walt Disney World theme parks before and after regular park hours - or what Disney refers to as Extra Magic Hours.

Check out our Extra Magic Hours page for current park hours... Extra Magic Hours at Disney World.

Extra Magic Hours is a concept that only Disney has perfected. As a reminder though, each park has a specific day in which they are designated as the Morning or Evening Extra Magic Hours park, and only those parks will allow the extra early or late admittance. Also, you must have a valid ticket for that park that day to enter and enjoy the Extra Magic Hours.

Below are the attractions that are open during the Extra Magic Hours events:

Miniature Golf at Disney!!

Visitors to the Walt Disney World Resort have the unique opportunity of experiencing everything you could want in a vacation destination all in one place. Disney not only offers world-class theme and water parks, they also house a shopping and entertainment district, a plethora of hotel accommodations, and tons of other things to add to your vacation experience. Disney even thought of one of the vacation staples when they built their two miniature golf courses-Fantasia Gardens and Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Courses. Like everything else on property, these two attractions are themed and provide experiences like no other miniature golf courses around town.

Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course is a great whimsical adventure that really brings the Disney magic to life. Based on the Academy award-winning movie "Fantasia," this golf course has dancing hippos, leaping fountains and marching broomsticks! Don't be surprised to find any and everything from the movie here, and you will even encounter interactive obstacles that were inspired by memorable scenes from the movie. This miniature golf course is surely one like you have never seen before!

Also a one-of-a-kind course, Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course is located just outside of Disney's Blizzard Beach water park and is a great way to end your day after hitting the slopes inside. Legend has it that this golf course is even the off-season resort destination for Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus! Everything here was even built by elves (I guess that would explain why everything is so small), but there is still no shortage of fun on either the Snow course or the Sand Course.

Whether you are taking a break from other Disney attraction to work on you putting skills or you are visiting one of these courses to round out a great day of fun, DWTickets can provide you with the best rates to see everything the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. Click here to check out our deals on discounted Disney tickets!

Beat the Heat, Before Back to School!!

Central Florida may be best known for its world-class theme parks and attractions, but one other thing that is synonymous with Florida is plenty of sunshine. And down here, we have plenty of it! The theme parks may have a few rides that will cool you off in the midst of your day, but with only a few weeks left of the summer season before school begins, you may want to consider taking a day out of your vacation to beat that summer heat in one of Orlando's water parks.

The two Disney water parks are second to none- both, like the four main theme parks, are built around a theme that is carried throughout the grounds. Blizzard Beach is the most popular water park at Disney and is the first of the two to reach capacity on a hot summer day. Blizzard Beach was conceived off of the idea that a random snow storm hit Central Florida- and the snow is beginning to melt, making for some awesome rides! Here, you can expect to see an actual ski lift, which will take riders to the top of the mountain, and mounds and mounds of- yes, you guessed it... snow! (And for that reason, be sure to bring along your sunglasses for the day, as the "snow" gets a very bright glare off of it in the afternoon.) This park is also known as the park which has the best thrill rides. Summit Plummet, the world's tallest free-fall speed slide, is located 120 feet up in the air at the park's summit, offering beautiful glimpses of most of the rest of the Walt Disney World resort before you take the plunge down at a speed of nearly 60 mph. Blizzard Beach also has the world's longest family raft ride, Teamboat Springs, and many other attractions that will keep you cool all day long.

The main difference in Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon- besides the theming- is the wave pool. While Blizzard offers a fairly large pool that has mostly gentle, rocking waves, Typhoon Lagoon's front-and-center attraction is, and always has been, its wave pool. Containing almost three million gallons of water, this massive water attraction cranks up some of the biggest waves in all of Florida- so big in fact, that they actually offer surfing lessons there before the park opens! While Typhoon may not have any record-setting rides, they do offer plenty of fun slides and some other unique attractions, like the opportunity to snorkel in a shark reef (another thing to beware of here-besides the sharks of course- is the water. This man-made coral reef pool is freezing, but is sure to help you beat the heat any time of day.).

If you want another option away from the Walt Disney World resort, you can try Wet 'n Wild near Universal Orlando. This park, noted as the first true water park, has over 30 acres of rides and fun for the entire family. Wet n' Wild has five thrill rides, seven multi-rider attractions, a lake, wave pool and lazy river. This park may not have the theming that the first two have, but you are assured of an entire day of fun if you head here, as any and everything is surrounded by their plethora of water attractions!

Whether you plan to spend a day on dry land or in the water, we here at DW Tickets can help you enjoy all of the action at a discounted price. Be sure to check out these amazing discounted prices that only we can offer here! Stay cool and remember to buy your discounted Disney tickets from the best around!!
