Tinkerbells Latest Adventure

Tinkerbell is one of the most popular Disney characters of all time. You can find tons of adorable merchandise in the Disney theme parks from pens to t-shirts and high-quality figurines. The sassy sprite first appeared in 1953’s Peter Pan, where she joined Wendy Darling and Peter Pan on an adventure to Neverland to fight off the evil Captain Hook. It wasn’t until later that the Tinkerbell craze caught on, but it’s hard not to love the blonde pixie with her adorable outfit and her funny crush on Peter Pan. She appeared once more in the 2008 movie Return to Neverland as the Tinkerbell merchandise mania continued to grow.

Finally, Tinkerbell got her own animated movie where she was the star of the show in a 3D animated feature that told Tinkerbell’s origin. We got to learn that all of the fairies live in Pixie Hollow and they are born whenever a child in the world laughs. Once the fairy is born he or she gets to choose her profession. Will she be a fairy of the elements or a tinker fairy? Tinker fairies create the little items used in Pixie Hollow every day. We’re sure you can figure out what kind of fairy Tinkerbell is after that explanation. So, based off of the success of her first solo feature, Disney is releasing a sequel called Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure.

New fairies were introduced into the Tinkerbell world and in this sequel they will be voiced by famous celebrities. Silvermist will be voiced by Lucy Liu, Iridessa by Raven Symone, Fawn by America Ferrera, Rosetta by Kristen Chenoweth and Mae Whitman voices Tinkerbell. Along with her fairy friends Disney gave Tinkerbell a male companion in Terrence, who is voiced by Jesse McCartney. Disney is hoping Terrence will help draw some boys into Tinkerbell’s world, which is important considering the Magic Kingdom will be getting its own Pixie Hollow as part of the huge Fantasyland expansion.

Although Fantasyland’s Pixie Hollow won’t be open until 2013, you can still find Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinkerbell, Terrence and the rest of the Pixie Hollow crew at the Magic Kingdom. It’s a great time to be a Tinkerbell fan!

Bolt Launches into Theaters and Walt Disney World

Though Walt Disney World is undoubtedly awesome for its fun and amazing Orlando theme parks, there would never have been a single park at all if it weren’t for Disney animation. That said, we hope you’re as excited as we are about the debut of the latest Walt Disney Pictures production, Bolt, which hit theaters on November 17th. This computer-animated film about a frisky dog with a superhero complex is sure to delight Disney fans everywhere and bring a lot of future fun to the parks, as well.

Bolt is the story of a super-dog (voiced by John Travolta) who’s only super when the cameras are rolling. The star of a hit TV show, Bolt faces adventure, danger, and intrigue on a daily basis along with his screen partner Penny (voiced by Miley Cyrus). It’s all fun and games until Bolt is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, where the real adventure begins. Still operating under the delusion that his super-powers are real, Bolt embarks on a journey back home with two hilarious companions, a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens and a TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino. Together, the three work as a team as they learn that you don’t have to have powers to be a hero.

Like many other films by executive producer John Lasseter (the mind behind Finding Nemo and The Incredibles), Bolt is wildly funny, smart, and filled with a lot of heart. It’s being called the first in-house Disney movie to compare to the gems of Pixar and Dreamworks. And since Bolt was animated in 3D, the film features crystal clear, super-sharp imagery. Unlike other films that use cheesy 3D in-your-face ploys, Bolt doesn’t fling things at its viewers so much as make them feel as though they’re within the movie’s environment. Though watching Bolt in 3D will generally cost a bit more, it’s absolutely worth it to see the high-quality animation craftsmanship that went into the film.

While you’re in Orlando, be sure to take a break from park-hopping to catch this latest Disney flick; we highly recommend the AMC Pleasure Island 24 Theatres Complex at Downtown Disney. With the complex’s bright Art Deco design, impeccable maintenance, loveseat-style stadium seating, and THX Surround Sound and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound, you’ll be able to enjoy Bolt in all its glory. The AMC Theaters are also playing Bolt as a regular feature and in Disney Digital 3D, so you have options as to how you’d like to immerse yourself in the super-doggie’s world.

And after you’ve seen Bolt, be sure to stop by Disney’s Hollywood Studios to meet and greet the characters from the film! You can see Bolt and Mittens (and Rhino the Hamster at special events) at The Magic of Disney Animation attraction.

We’ll be sure to catch Bolt in theaters this weekend, and we hope we’ll be seeing a lot more of the film’s furry threesome in the parks soon. Maybe a Bolt attraction is in the future? If and when it happens, expect DWTickets.com to give you the first sneak peek!

How to Have a Safe Disney Vacation During Hurricane Season

There are definitely advantages to taking your Disney vacation during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. This time of year is not prime time at the Walt Disney World Resort, so you can find great room rates and some smaller crowds in the Disney theme parks. The important thing to remember if your Disney vacation falls during hurricane season is to follow warnings and be on alert.

Sometimes, hurricane season blows through the Walt Disney World Resort without any major storms. In fact, big hurricanes are really quite rare. When a tropical storm or hurricane does hit the Disney area, though, rest assured that everyone at the Walt Disney Resort is prepared to handle whatever may come.

If you have never been through a hurricane, perhaps you don’t even know what it is. A hurricane is a type of tropical storm that is extremely large in size, sometimes covering the entire state as with Hurricane Ike that just hit the State of Texas. Hurricanes mean a lot of rain – we’re talking 5, 10, even up to 15 or 20 inches or more, depending on the size and strength of the storm.

And then there’s the wind. A mid-strength category 3 hurricane can have winds of up to 130 miles per hour. These are constant winds too, not just gusts. And they could last for several hours, which is what can make the prospect of hunkering down and weathering the storm during your Disney vacation a little daunting.

While the whipping winds and driving rains of a major hurricane can be dangerous, the structures at the Walt Disney World Resort are soundly built according to building codes set forth by the State of Florida. There is very little chance that any permanent structure on Disney property would be seriously dangerous during a storm, and this is especially true for the Disney resort hotels.

When a hurricane is in the forecast, attention is paid to the storm’s path, strength and timeline. If there is any chance that dangerous weather will be hitting the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disney theme parks are closed to protect Disney park guests. This has happened more than once in the past when severe hurricanes headed to Orlando.

Disney officials have strictly laid out emergency plans that will guide all Disney guests to safety during a hurricane, so taking a Disney vacation during hurricane season is really no problem at all.

Airlines Cut More Flights Into Orlando

Your Orlando vacation might be harder to plan now, but the news isn’t all bad

Some of the most popular airlines may have put a wrinkle in your future Orlando vacation plans. In light of the outlandish gas prices they are facing, Delta Airlines announced last week that they will no longer fly direct to Orlando out of 5 different U.S. cities.

Of course, this doesn’t have to negatively impact your Orlando vacation, because there are always other options. The best option for a thrifty Orlando vacation is to get all of your Orlando theme park tickets at DWTickets.com, the best one-stop Orlando theme park ticket spot on the Web.

Delta’s latest flight changes restrict travel to Orlando from the following five cities: New Orleans; Nashville, Tennessee; Birmingham, Alabama; Asheville, North Carolina and Lexington, Kentucky. These flight eliminations will go into effect by August of this year.

Even with the gas prices what they are, all of these cities are within fairly easy driving distance from Orlando:
  • New Orleans to Orlando – Just over 630 miles or about 9 hours.
  • Nashville to Orlando – Approximately 685 miles, or a 10-hour trip.
Birmingham to Orlando – About 525 miles or just over 8 hours.
  • Asheville to Orlando – Under 600 miles and close to 9 hours.
  • Lexington to Orlando – Around 825 miles or 12½ hours.

If you drive a gas guzzler, look into renting a car for your road trip. Even though you have to pay for the rental car, you may make up the rental fees in gas savings. Another option for traveling to Orlando is Amtrak. They have local stations – one in downtown Orlando and one in Kissimmee – that offer convenient transportation to the theme park areas in town.

Airline Customers Rate Their Favorites
And speaking of air travel, the University of Michigan recently released the results of their annual survey of airline passengers. If you are a frequent flyer, you will not be surprised to learn that most of the ratings have decreased over the past several years.

Southwest is the leader in customer satisfaction, with a rating of 79 (based on a scale of 1-100). US Airways came in last with a score of 54. In between were AMR Corp. (American Airlines and Continental) at 62, Delta with 60, Northwest at 57, and United Airlines rating 56.

This is a difficult time for all of the airlines, but you can still find some good deals out there if you do the research. And the best deals of all are on all of your Orlando theme park tickets at DWTickets.com!

Disney tickets are more affordable than you think
So, you’ve always thought that Disney tickets are expensive. Well, if you’re looking solely at the cost of a one-day ticket to Walt Disney World, that is understandable. What you may not realize is that the Magic Your Way Disney ticket gives you multiple days in the Disney theme parks at a huge discount when compared to the price of a one-day Disney ticket.

With the extra money brought in by your tax rebate check this year, you can afford Disney tickets for the whole family and have cash leftover!

Planning your Tax Rebate Disney Getaway
A family of four should get a rebate of about $1800. Here’s what that tax rebate check can get you at the Walt Disney World Resort:
  • 2 Adult 5-day Magic Your Way base Disney tickets good for admission to a different Disney theme park each day. (Total = $420)
  • 2 Child 5-day Magic Your Way base Disney tickets. (Total = $350)
  • A 5-night stay at a Disney Value Resort like Disney’s Pop Century Resort, where room rates start at just $82 per night. (Total = $410)

Now you have your tickets and your hotel and you barely broke $1,000! You still have more than $600 to use for travel, food and gifts on your Tax Rebate Disney Getaway.

Get more from your Tax Rebate Disney Getaway by camping
If you want to get even more out of your tax rebate check, add the Disney water parks to your Disney ticket package and rough it Disney-style at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Try a package like this to enjoy the great outdoors, Disney theme parks and Disney water parks too!

  • 2 Adult 5-day Magic Your Way Water Park Fun and More tickets. (Total = $512)
  • 2 Child 5-day Magic Your Way Water Park Fun and More tickets. (Total = $445)
Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness start at only $42 per night, so a 5-night Disney camping adventure is really reasonable. (Total = $210)

At a grand total of about $1170, this campy Tax Rebate Disney Getaway simply can’t be beat. So, grab that tax rebate check, get your Disney tickets and thank God for the IRS!

Where to Stay on Your Orlando Vacation

Planning an Orlando vacation can be more stressful than the job you need a break from. We’re here to ease that tension with our discount Orlando attraction tickets and helpful hotel tips.

Orlando is jam packed with hotels, motels and resorts, and you may be surprised by the options. Most importantly, get all of your Orlando theme park tickets here at your one-stop Orlando attraction ticket shop. Then ask yourself these questions as you choose a home base for your Orlando trip:

How long will you be in Orlando?
If you answer more than a week, consider renting a vacation home, or staying in a time share resort or suite hotel. Accommodations with even efficiency kitchens can save both money and time. Simply eating breakfast before you set out in the morning can save a family of four up to $50 a day (that turns into $350 over the course of a week).

Where will you be spending most of your Orlando vacation?
If you are only visiting Walt Disney World, then try a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Disney resorts offer the convenience of free Disney transportation for pretty much your entire Orlando vacation.

Disney buses take you all over Walt Disney World, and they even go to the Orlando International Airport. If you choose to stay at a Disney hotel, you can still get all of your discount Disney tickets right here.

Will you have a car during your Orlando vacation?
If you won’t have a car while you’re in Orlando, consider staying at the Universal Orlando Resort or in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Both resorts have beautiful hotels that provide transportation to their theme parks.

Many area hotels also offer shuttle service to all of the Orlando attractions. Ask about this before making your hotel reservations.

How many people are you making plans for?
Here again, suite hotels, vacation home rentals and time shares often have more room and work great if you are traveling to Orlando with a large group of people.
Regardless of where you stay on your Orlando vacation, the first thing to remember is to get all of your Orlando attraction tickets right here at DWTickets.com!

Walt Disney World Vacations With Toddlers

What you need to know before you bring your little one to Walt Disney World
and where to find your cheap Disney tickets

Of course Disney World is for kids, but once you’re here things aren’t that simple. What is simple? Our discount Disney tickets and our great advice for your Disney vacation.

For starters, by toddler we mean three years old and under. We’re talking little ones here, but your tiny tike can become a big deal on your Walt Disney World trip if you aren’t careful.

Every Magic Kingdom Land has Fun for the Little Ones
No matter where you go in Disney’s Magic Kingdom, there is toddler-appropriate entertainment and attractions.

Mickey’s Toontown Fair is kid heaven. The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm is a fantastic first coaster, and parents can ride too!

Fantasyland is full of kid-errific attractions. You may want to avoid Snow White’s Scary Adventures, though. It’s dark and very small children might not find it so enchanting.

Mickey’s Philharmagic is a uniquely amazing show, but it gets loud so we recommend lap sitting in here.

Beware of Stroller-free Zones at Walt Disney World
Some of Disney World’s rides and shows prefer that you leave your tot’s transport outside the door. Keep this in mind when riding the Walt Disney World Railroad. Opt for the ride around the entire Magic Kingdom, and your stroller will be waiting for you.

Take Advantage of Kid-swapping at Disney’s Big-kid Attractions
Many of the rides that appeal to grown ups aren’t so much fun for a 2-year-old (Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain). Disney has the answer though. One parent watches the kids while one rides, and then you switch. Brilliant!

Even at Disney World Little Ones Have Their Limits
There is so much to do at the Walt Disney World Resort, it’s easy to keep going and going and going – picture the Energizer bunny in Mickey Mouse ears. Don’t try and do it all in one day, or even in one trip. Enjoy what you can fit in a reasonable amount of time and save some excitement for your next Orlando vacation.

As long as you get all of your discount Disney tickets at DWTickets.com, you will have plenty of money left over to come back again soon!

Saint Patricks Day at Disney

Spending any day at the Walt Disney World Resort is a treat but imagine spending a holiday there Disney goes above and beyond to make guests who are spending holidays in Central Florida feel extra special by hosting special events around the parks and at Downtown Disney and with special theme park hours as well. And while St. Patrick’s Day may not be on the same level as Thanksgiving or Christmas, the Walt Disney World Resort does have some special plans up its sleeves for anyone who wants to feel the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, which is Monday, March 17, 2008.

Although St. Patrick’s Day may be on a Monday, it will surely be an extra-busy day at all of the theme parks across town since it is in the midst of Spring Break season as well. But while you may run into slighty larger than normal crowds, you should also know that Disney has extended their theme park hours on this day to accommodate everyone! The Magic Kingdom Park will be open from 8 a.m.-11 p.m., with the Wishes fireworks spectacular at 10 p.m. and two SpectroMagic parades at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Epcot will have their same hours, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. with Illuminations: Refelctions of Earth at closing, while Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be open from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. with showings of Fantasmic! at both 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., and any guest staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can enjoy Extra Magic Evening Hours at this park after it closes (or you can hit up Disney’s Hollywood Studios an extra hour early in the morning!).

If the theme parks are in your St. Patrick’s Day plans, it will probably be a good idea for your family to plan your day wisely to ensure that you get the most out of your day. One way to do that is by purchasing a park hopper ticket, which will allow you to hop back and forth from one theme park to the next all in the same day! The park hopper ticket is a little more expensive than a regular base ticket, which will get you into one park only per day, but that is where DWTickets.com comes in! We offer deeply discounted Disney World tickets (along with tickets to Universal, Sea World and other attractions in the area) for you and and your family, so don’t wait until you get to the parks to get your tickets – click here to get them now! We also offer delivery or pick-up options, so you can even have your tickets in hand by the time you arrive in Florida on vacation!

Once you have your tickets in hand, it is time to discover what all Disney has to offer on St. Patrick’s Day. While you can find special things going on inside the parks, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island will be the hub of activities on and around St. Patrick’s Day. On March 14, 15 and 17, 2008, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island will be hosting a special St. Patrick’s Day extravaganza from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. each evening. In addition to all of the fun going on inside the clubs, there will be live music, stilt walkers, leprechauns and more roaming around Downtown Disney Pleasure Island. And, as always, the common area, where all of this activity will be going on, is free to everyone of all ages, although you do have to pay one flat admission for access into the clubs and bars at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island.

Downtown Disney Pleasure Island may also be the place to be in all of Central Florida on St. Patrick’s Day itself, as the Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant will be hosting their biggest and best holiday bash ever! This Irish pub is the newest addition to the scene at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island, and it is truly as close to the real thing as it comes. Valentines Day at Walt Disney World

Valentines Day is a day set aside for fun, for romance and for spending quality time with loved ones but it can also be a stressful time for those trying to think of ways to incorporate all three while being original and creative at the same time. If that rings a bell with you, or if you are having trouble thinking of somewhere to take your loved one this holiday, we have one suggestion that will include lots of fun and even more romance – the Walt Disney World Resort. Upon first glance, Disney may seem like a place only for families and small children, but further inspection reveals that the Walt Disney World theme parks are just as much – if not more – for adults than for kids. And if you decide to spend Valentine’s Day at any of these world-class theme parks, we are sure that by the end of the day you will agree with us!

First things first, however – to make your day at Disney possible, you are going to need tickets to get into the four Walt Disney World theme parks. If you are planning a vacation or a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway to Central Florida, DWTickets.com is the place to purchase your discounted Disney tickets to make this happen! DWTickets.com is your No. 1 online source for discounted tickets to Walt Disney World, the Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World Orlando and tons of other top attractions in and around the Orlando area. Click here now to purchase your tickets now to get started planning your Valentine’s Day activities!

Now that you have your tickets in order, it is important to plan ahead on what activities you may want to do and what parks you would like to hit on the big day. On February 14, 2008, the Magic Kingdom Park will be open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m., with Disney’s Pirate and Princess Party being conducted that night from 7 p.m. until midnight (this party is a separate ticketed event). If you plan on a trip to this park, you can even get your Valentine’s Day started an extra hour early if you are staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, as the Magic Kingdom Park will open at 8 a.m. for those guests only for Extra Magic Hours. This park is a beacon for romance, as you can pose for a picture in front of Cinderella Castle – or even eat inside at Cinderella’s Royal Table! This restaurant also offers a separate character dining experience for breakfast or lunch with members of the Disney royal family, and you can also dine with your favorite characters at the Crystal Palace (breakfast, lunch and dinner with Winnie the Pooh and friends) or have dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern with Minnie and her pals. If you are looking to keep your Valentine’s Day at a budget, then you may want to stop by the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. for some special Valentine’s Day merchandise that is only sold once a year!

Epcot is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Valentine’s Day 2008, with IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth lighting up the World Showcase that evening at 9 p.m. sharp. Epcot may be the ideal place to spend this romantic holiday, as it is the most adult-oriented park at Walt Disney World. This park also gives you tons of options for your perfect Valentine’s Day meal, as you can pick any of the 11 countries around the World Showcase to dine in, meaning you could be eating authentic French cuisine in the France pavilion or dining amongst the stars at the San Angel Inn in the Mexico pavilion. But wherever you do decide to eat that evening, make sure you are finished in time to catch the amazing fireworks/light show that is IllumiNations.

If you are planning a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Valentine’s Day, you can enjoy all of the action of Hollywood from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on this day, with the can’t-miss Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade passing through the streets at 3 p.m. and their nightly showing of Fantasmic! taking place at 7 p.m. If you are planning on having a nice dinner before the show (The Hollywood Brown Derby is their signature restaurant), you may also want to look in to the Fantasmic! dinner package, which gets you priority seating at both a restaurant in the park and special guaranteed reserved seating at the show that evening.

Injury Reports and Ride Safety

DWTickets is your best resource for cheap theme park tickets if you are planning an Orlando vacation the safest bet is to get all of your discount tickets in one place – right here at DWTickets.com. We are your one-stop shop for cheap theme park tickets to Universal Orlando, Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Walt Disney World and more.

We are also the best information source for all things theme park in Orlando, including how to keep your family safe while you are in town. At DWTickets.com we are interested in keeping you safe physically and financially. That is why we always have the best advice and the best discounts on tickets to all of Orlando’s theme parks.

Last week, the 2007 year-end injury reports came in from Orlando’s major theme parks, and all things considered the results are quite good. When you consider the sheer number of people that visit the Orlando theme parks each day, it really is encouraging to see such a small number of serious incidents (just four in the last three months of 2007).

Some accidents are caused by a physical illness, but many can be avoided by focusing on safety. Even though you are on vacation, you still need to play it safe! Here’s how:

Always pay attention to the warning signs posted on rides. Yes, Orlando is family friendly, but some of the attractions are still kind of crazy. When it says don’t ride if you have certain physical conditions, take heed. They post those warnings for a reason.

Keep cool and hydrated. The Florida sun is ferocious – even on a cloudy day - and the heat and humidity can sneak up on you. Always drink plenty of water throughout the day and make sure to wear sunscreen and reapply it as necessary. Even if you’re not at the beach, the sun is still shining on you!

Stay aware of your surroundings and watch your kids. Again, we know you are on vacation, but it is still important to watch where you are going, keep track of what is around you and pay attention to what the little ones are getting into.

Just a bit of attention to safety can prevent a possible accident, so play it safe while you are in the parks and before you leave too. Get your tickets at DWTickets.com, the safest bet in Orlando when it come to cheap theme park tickets.

Valentines Day at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel

The Walt Disney World Resort is growing in popularity with adults by the day and no not ones who are looking to take their little ones to the Happiest Place on Earth. This entertainment mecca in Central Florida is actually transforming into just as much a refuge for adults looking for a romantic getaway as it is a place for families and kids of all ages to spend their vacations. But how can it be both? It’s simple – Disney’s classic combination of fairytales and imagination makes it easy for anyone who enters the Walt Disney World Resort property to forget about the outside world and just enjoy themselves and the simplicity of life – just as Walt Disney himself had wanted it.

With all of that said, it is no wonder that Disney is one of the most popular destinations in America for weddings and honeymoons. And with Valentine’s Day approaching, DWTickets.com would like to offer you suggestions on how to spend this day with your special someone, whether this is your first Valentine’s Day with your significant other or your 30th! And while all of the tips and suggestions below are centered around things to do at Disney’s resort hotels, there are plenty of romantic things to experience inside the four Disney theme parks as well. If you are planning a vacation or a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway, DWTickets.com is the place to purchase your discounted Disney tickets to make this happen! We are your No. 1 online source for discounted tickets to Walt Disney World, the Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World Orlando and tons of other top attractions in Central Florida. Nothing says ‘I love you’ quite like a trip to see Mickey and Minnie, so click here now to purchase your very own discounted tickets and get started on your vacation plans today!

If you are fortunate enough to be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel on Valentine’s Day, you will have many options to produce the most unforgettable day ever with your significant other. Just the resorts themselves are romantic, as most of the moderate and deluxe resorts offer amenities such as beaches, elaborate and exclusive restaurants and many nooks and crannies that are secluded and perfect for couples. But, one way to start out your Valentine’s Day at a Disney hotel that you may not think of is with a visit to one of the Disney spas, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. While any of the vast massage and body therapy treatments are sure to put anyone in a romantic (not to mention relaxed) state of mind, the couples treatments at the Grand Floridian Spa will top off any Valentine’s Day plans. With a special “couples room” at the spa, you can experience either a Grand Romantic Evening package or a Couples Instructional Massage. Call 407-824-2332 to book any of these wonderful packages at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the flagship hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort.

While a day at the spa would surely appeal to just about anyone, a good meal might sound even more appealing! Luckily, the hotels at Disney offer a plethora of fine dining options, once again located mostly at the deluxe category resorts. For the top-of-the-line cuisine, you can opt for the California Grill, located on the top floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. With a perfect outside balcony that overlooks the Magic Kingdom Park, a perfect dinner can be topped off with a perfect view of Wishes, the nighttime fireworks spectacular that illuminates the sky over Cinderella Castle. Or, you could cross just over the Seven Seas Lagoon to Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (inquire about the chefs table located exclusively for one couple per night inside the kitchen – complete with your own maid and butler) or try out Narcoossee’s, which is located directly on the waterfront. If either of those restaurants don’t offer you the privacy that you are looking for, this hotel also offers private dining out on the beach each evening. Simply call 407-824-2578 to set up a private meal, or 407-WDW-DINE up to 180 days in advance for reservations at any Disney full-service restaurant.

Finally, if you are looking for a more unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the Disney resort hotels also offer many different ways for couples to enjoy themselves in less traditional ways. For example, you could take a 45-minute horseback tour or carriage ride through the wilderness at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds (407-939-7529), or trek to “Martha’s Vineyard” at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, where you will find a wine bar and plenty of seating for two! And, a perfect way to end any day at Disney is aboard a fireworks cruise, where you can sail away to watch either Wishes or Illuminations from your own private boat. And lastly, if a day spent in is what you had in mind, Disney can hand-deliver flowers to your room via their very own private florist (407-827-3505). In other words, as Walt Disney once said – “if you can dream it, (Disney) can do it.”

Happy Valentine’s Day!

2007 The Year of a Million Dreams

Walt Disney World has long been a magical place where dreams come true, and a new guest reward program implemented throughout the Walt Disney World Resort in 2007 already made that statement a reality for hundreds of thousands of people. The “Year of a Million Dreams” began in late 2006, and it’s still going strong with plans to continue through 2008. We have our own guest bonuses at DWTickets.com, and that includes cheap theme park tickets!

DWTickets.com helps makes your dreams come true with the best discounts on the tickets you need for your Orlando vacation. You can get all of your Walt Disney World tickets right here and get in on the “Disney Dreams Giveaway” like these lucky vacationers did last year:

One Florida family stepped off of Spaceship Earth at Epcot and was magically selected by a Disney Dream Squad member to receive a fabulous return trip to the Walt Disney World Resort valued at $5,200.

A 10-year-old boy from Colorado was transformed into an honorary “junior bellhop” at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. He was presented with his very own Tower of Terror bellhop jacket and hat while still at the front gate, and then his family was escorted through the park to be the first guests of the day to take the terrifyingly thrilling plunge.

Just over a year ago, one lucky family from Michigan became the first guests to stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite at the Magic Kingdom Park. The family dined in Cinderella’s Royal Table restaurant before heading upstairs to spend an enchanted evening in a glorious suite of rooms fit for a princess at Cinderella’s Castle. These dream winners were selected randomly by the Disney Dreams Giveaway computer, and were riding the Star Tours attraction at the Studios when their seat number came up!

On Epcot’s Mission: SPACE, a rider from Maine was in the right spot at the right time, and he won an Adventures by Disney “Viva Italia” vacation package worth more than $25,000. His reward includes a nine-day, eight-night vacation of dreams through Rome and Venice, Italy.

The Disney Dreams Giveaway is continuing in 2008, and you don’t have to miss out. Get your Walt Disney World tickets today at DWTickets.com, and get in on the fun in the New Year!
